Next Wednesday I’m having my gall bladder removed. I started having terrible attacks of stomach pain several months ago, which got progressively worse, to the point where I ended up in the ER, where I was given a morphine shot to relieve the pain. After a battery of tests, an ultrasound revealed that I have gallstones. It’s good to know what was causing the attacks and that there is a simple and effective solution. This allows manufacturing companies to sell medicines at any price that suits their fancy. viagra online australia In the House of Commons, Chancellor George Osborne outlined some key points in his Budget statement. cheap viagra Growing old is http://www.heritageihc.com/staff-fox viagra properien another cause of having this medicine. The doctors all say I won’t but I’ve heard differently from people who’ve had this operation (one of the most common in the U.S.). The really lame thing is there’s a good chance the gallstones were caused by taking Lipitor. Proof that you really can’t mess with Mother Nature!
I had my gall bladder out in 2000. There was some adjustment to it, but after that, for me, life was fine. I have heard some don’t do as well, but I’m sure life is better without it than having the (sudden) attacks.
Hi Michael – So sorry to hear of you suffering – glad though that the solution seems to be upon you. When is your actual date of surgery? I’ll be praying and positively visualizing a good outcome. I can see your smiling pain-free gallbladderless healthy body in my mind now. And I’m visualizing your stoned gallbladder, happy to be no longer giving you pain. Anything that has the gall to give you such agony deserves removal!
Great blog here! I’ve been thinking I should do something similar myself. No bets on when I’ll get around to it. I did put a kind of blog on Myspace, under the guise of our great deceased cat Kaba. I don’t have a url – you might have to join myspace to see it, I’m not sure. If you do and search for a friend using my email, zorbhead@gmail.com, you’ll find it. Just for curiosity – it is a very neglected blog. I orignially intended to put all my cosmic/philosophical ramblings there but #&#% Myspace won’t let me paste text in there, so so much for that idea.
All the best to you and your family my brother!
Congratultions on your job, Mike. This whole change to NC sounds like it has been good. I firmly believe that change is good for people – unless one is very old and then it can be unsettling. But you are a long way from that stage, so change is good.
Linda’s daughter Dani had her gall bladder out about 18 months ago the same way you will have yours done. She recovered quickly. She never took Lipitor, of course, but had eaten lot of pasta and cheese growing up (she is a vegetarian and has been since 5years old. She still watches her fat intake, and eats smaller portion s several times a day.
So good luck, pleasant dreams while you are “under” and stay in touch.

Hey mps!
I had mine out (as I mentioned) as did my mom and my grandfather (on dad’s side). My recovery was just a few days – surgery on Thursday and went back to work full time following Tuesday (half day on Monday). Mom’s operation was similar. Grandfather had this 20 something years ago and was out of commission for weeks! Makes you appreciate our medical science advancements all that much more when put in those terms!
You might find that you can’t eat as much of certain foods as you used to – my tolerance for spicy foods is not what is used to be. And some people can’t handle as much greasy food as before the surgery, but you shouldn’t be eating that much of it anyway!
I’ll see you tonight @ tokyo house!
